Chevre can be frozen. When you are ready to use the cheese, remove it from the freezer and thaw in the refrigerator 24 to 48 hours. Cheese logs tend to have a soft exterior and crumbly center after thawing. They can best be used after freezing to crumble over salads or use other recipes when chèvre cheese is called for.
The Vermont Creamery award-winning fresh goat cheese is distinguished by its fresh milk taste, mild flavor and smooth texture. Crumble it on salads, sprinkle on flatbreads, or spread on sandwiches. Use as a filling for ravioli, burgers or quiche. Spread it on crackers or rustic bread.
