He is handmade beaded art by artisans at Beady Baubz, a fair-trade company. The makers are Zimbabwean refugees living in South Africa. Victimized by xenophobic attacks, they lost their small shop in a fire in 2008. With the help of fair trade relationships, the resilient group has been able to rebuild and purchase new tools and materials and continue to make beaded crafts in Cape Town.
