Yukon gold's flavor is slightly sweet and is rich and buttery tasting with a medium natural sugar content. They are great for grilling, roasting, mashing and in salads.
It is particularly well-suited for roasting, pan frying and using in soups, stews and gratins. It can be baked, mashed and fried but will not produce the same results as a russet baking potato.
