Description
Many varieties to choose from. Create a winter scene or hang from a tree. These chalets are handmade with wool scraps so each is unique. They also range in size. The larger ones (townhouse, Red/White) are about 4 inches tall and 2 inches wide and 1.5 inches deep. The smallest houses (chalets) are about 2.5 inches tall and 1.5 inches wide and 1.5 inches deep. Note also that the chalets are a little more expensive than the other houses dues to the amount of detail work they require.
They are produced for DZI, a fair-trade organization, by Tibetan Refugees living in Nepal. Handmade felt figures and ornaments are created and assembled by skilled artisans working in a fair trade production center in Kathmandu, Nepal. Artisans use 100% natural wool and non-toxic, azo-free dyes. Wool scraps are recycled into new products.
